Xiangtan University (XTU), founded in 1958, is a comprehensive national key university initiated by a great man, Comrade Mao Zedong. It is jointly established by THE Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, and jointly established by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. XTU ranks 43rd among mainland universities in The Times Higher Education 2020 World University Ranking, and it has become one of the few universities in China that simultaneously enter the rankings of authoritative international universities such as The and USNEWS. The school has 23 colleges and teaching departments, with more than 30,000 full-time students. The disciplines cover nine categories, including literature, history, philosophy, science, engineering, economics, management, law and art. The ESI ranking of four disciplines, including chemistry, material science, engineering and mathematics, ranks in the top 1% of global universities and scientific research institutions, and seven disciplines rank among the world-class disciplines of soft science in 2019. 二、Application condition
1. As of September 1, 2022, non-China citizens who are over 18 years of age, are physically and mentally healthy and have good conduct;
* China citizens who apply to study as foreign students in colleges and universities after emigrating abroad must have a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive) and have a record of actually living abroad for more than 2 years in the last four years (before April 30 of the year of enrollment) (if they actually live abroad for 9 months in a year, they can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit signatures);
2. Abide by the laws of China and school rules and regulations, respect the customs and habits of China, and get good grades.
3. Education and age requirements:
● Those who study for an undergraduate degree must have a high school education or above, and the age is not more than 30 years old.
● Those studying for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be no more than 35 years old.
● Those studying for a doctorate must have a master's degree and be no more than 40 years old.
● The trainees must have a high school education or above, and the age is no more than 45 years old.
4. Language requirements: those who apply for teaching Chinese are required to have HSK level 4 or above; To apply for English teaching, IELTS score of 6 or above or TOEFL score of 80 or above is required.
* The above-mentioned language proficiency certificate may be exempted for those who have one of the following circumstances: Chinese or English is the mother tongue or the official language; There are corresponding Chinese or English classes in the academic education stage.

III. Scholarship types
1. China Government Scholarship
The China Government Scholarship was established by the China Municipal Government to fund outstanding students and scholars from all over the world to study or conduct research in China. The full scholarship includes tuition, accommodation, insurance and living expenses. Applicants can apply directly to China embassies and consulates in other countries or our school. 2. International Scholarship for Chinese Teachers
The International Scholarship for Chinese Teachers is funded by the Chinese-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education. The scholarship includes tuition, accommodation, insurance and living expenses. The scholarship type is one academic year or one semester for language trainees. Applicants must log on to the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Registration Website (http://cis.chinese.cn) to apply.
3. Scholarships for national language students along the Belt and Road in Hunan Province
The National Scholarship for Language Students along the Belt and Road in Hunan Province is a special scholarship set up by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education for outstanding students who love China culture and are enthusiastic about learning Chinese in countries along the Belt and Road. It provides a one-year language learning scholarship (including registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbook fee, accommodation fee and comprehensive insurance fee) for students who come to Hunan to study Chinese. Applicants apply directly to our school, requiring that they have not studied in Hunan at present.

1. Apply online. Log on to https://xtu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx, the international student service platform of Xiangtan University, and apply online.
2. Applicants for China government scholarships must first log in to the Online Registration System for Studying in China of the National Scholarship Fund Committee (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), enter the number of the accepting institution (Agency No.)10530 (Xiangtan University), fill in the information, submit it online and download the Application Form for China Government Scholarships; Applicants for the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship must first log on to the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Registration Website (http://cis.chinese.cn) to apply.
3. Deadline for application for academic students' projects: April 30, 2022;
Deadline for non-academic students (language trainees) to apply for the project: May 15, 2022.
* Our school will mail the admission notice, JW202/JW201 form and related registration materials to those who have been admitted by our school. The admitted students will go to China's foreign embassies (consulates) to apply for visas for overseas students (JW202/JW201 form), foreigners' physical examination form and blood test report.

* The applicant shall conduct the examination in strict accordance with the requirements in the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, and fill it out in Chinese or English. The Alien Physical Examination Form which is missing, has not been affixed with my photo or has not been stamped with the riding seal, and has not been signed and sealed by the doctor and the hospital is invalid. The inspection result is valid for 6 months.
4. No criminal record certificate (the applicant must submit the certificate of no criminal record issued by the local public security organ within the validity period, usually within 6 months from the date of issuance)
5. Study or research plan in China (provided only by applicants with academic qualifications, with no less than 200 words for undergraduates and no less than 800 words for postgraduates, written in Chinese or English)
6. Letter of recommendation (applicants for master's or doctoral degrees must submit letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English, including the contact details of the referees)
7. Scanned 7.HSK scores (Chinese teaching major) or TOEFL and IELTS scores (English teaching major) or proof of language-free ability .
8. China government scholarship applicants provide the "China Government Scholarship Application Form"; Applicants for international Chinese teacher scholarships provide scholarship award certificates.
9. proof of economic conditions (provided by the applicant at his own expense). Provide proof of deposit sufficient to guarantee reasonable expenses such as study, life and international travel during the period of studying in China (at least one year's tuition fee should be held)

★ Precautions
(1) If all kinds of documents and certificates involved in the application materials are in languages other than Chinese and English, notarized Chinese or English translations must be attached in addition to the originals. Texts and certificates with more than two pages shall be stamped with a riding seal or stamped with an official seal on each page;
(2) The applicant must be responsible for the authenticity and completeness of the submitted materials. If the application materials are false or missing, our school will not accept them;
Ⅵ.the charging standard
Tuition: 14,000 yuan/year for language trainees, 14,000 yuan/year for undergraduates, 18,000 yuan/year for masters and 23,000 yuan/year for doctors.
Insurance premium: 400 yuan/one semester, 800 yuan/one academic year.
Accommodation: single room 900 yuan/month/person, double room 600 yuan/month/person, water and electricity charges are self-care.
