China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Devoted to Cultivate Technical and Skilled Talents in Africa.

On the morning of September 20th, the International Education Exchange and Cooperation Conference between Xingfei Zhiyuan and Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology was held. Chen Jiangtao, the Executive Chairman of China-Africa Economic and Trade Chamber of Commerce in Changsha County,along with the staff of the Chamber of Commerce, Hu Zhuling, the General Manager of Xingfei Zhiyuan,and Zhang Lin, Dean of Continuing Education and International College of Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology and department personnel of College, jointly participated in the project cooperation negotiation meeting.

 Chen Jiangtao, the Executive Chairman of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Chamber of Commerce in Changsha County, introduced the overview and projects of Africa: There is vast land, accounting for over 20% of the global land area, a large population base, and a vast market in Africa. 

  For the Railway,it is of long haul, all-weather, and large-scaled. In recent years, through large-scale railway infrastructure construction, major economic cities have been directly connected to nearby ports, and it has broken through the spatial barriers of regional economic and trade exchanges, and injected new vitality into local economic development.However, the related railway technology is relatively lacking, and the skills and technical level of railway transportation operation management, equipment maintenance, and passenger service personnel are lagging behind. The Chamber of Commerce has received strong support from local governments in Kenya, Mauritius, and other African countries. Thus，it has numerous high-quality educational resources in Africa, and it could cooperate with domestic high-quality universities with qualifications to train and exchange， or to recruit international students, exchange students from Africa. And We will utilize our respective resources and advantages to collaborate on matters such as studying abroad, studying tour, training, employment, and settlement for outstanding youths who go to China from Africa.

Zhang Lin, Dean of Continuing Education and International College, introduced the basic situation of the school and the characteristics of railway technology research education.The school has established a large number of demonstration and characteristic majors to specifically cultivate technical and skilled talents in railway and urban subway production, management, and service. It has also established majors such as railway locomotives, railway vehicles, railway traffic operation management, railway signal automatic control, railway engineering technology, railway power supply technology, urban rail transit vehicle technology, and high-speed railway passenger service and so on.The school has highly industrialized scientific research achievements and talent reserves, and has the ability to operate internationally; This cooperation will integrate the advantages of the college in education, scientific research, talents and industry, give full play to the strength of the whole college to study how to continuously and export achievements and talents to Africa stably, and make contributions to China's "the Belt and Road" initiative through various measures of China-Africa friendly cooperation and development.

 Hu Zhuling, General Manager of Xingfei Zhiyuan, stated that Xingfei Zhiyuan adheres to the teaching and research characteristics of scientific and intelligent development, equal emphasis on diverse abilities, and experiential training by providing vocational skills training and artistic literacy training to young people in China and Africa, cultivating their international comprehensive abilities.

  At present, Xingfei Zhiyuan has established cooperative ties with many universities such as Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, Xiangtan University, Changsha University of Science and Technology, Hunan Agricultural University, Central SouthUniversity of Forestry and Technology, University of South China, Hunan University of Medicine, Changsha Social Work College、Hunan International Business Vocational College and so on. It has established friendly relations with more than 20 African countries, including Uganda、 Tanzania、 Kenya、 Rwanda、 Ghana、 Ethiopia、 the Democratic Republic of the Congo、 Zimbabwe and Mauritius.

 Through this negotiation meeting, Xingfei Zhiyuan and Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology enhanced mutual understanding and conducted in-depth discussions on the areas and methods of collaboration between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for future international exchanges and cooperation.
