On the afternoon of April 8, 2024, Xingfei Zhiyuan International Education and Culture Center went to Changsha Vocational and Technical College of Electric Power to hold a discussion and exchange. Fang Peng, Vice President of Changsha Vocational and Technical College of Electric Power, and Zhang Longling, Vice President, and his party were received. Chen Jiangtao, Chairman of Xingfei Zhiyuan International Education and Culture Chinese, Wang Quanhai, General Manager, and Zhou Qing, Deputy General Manager attended the meeting. Mao Tianyu, senior project manager of the United Nations International Trade Center, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, President Chen made an overview of the situation in Africa, pointing out that Africa is in a period of rapid economic development, and there is a great demand for talents and technology, and many local African students expect to study in China. The center can just meet the needs of some African governments and local students, help the government introduce talents, help students find jobs, and promote education and economic exchanges between China and Africa.
Fang Peng, vice president of Changsha Electric Power Vocational and Technical College, affirmed this, and said that the Institute of Electric Power is also willing to support the development of Africa and give certain personnel training and technical support, but before that, it did not have a thorough and accurate understanding of the vocational education in Africa and the development status of the entire African power system.
As an important guest of this exchange meeting, Director Mao brought an in-depth analysis of the overall power system in Africa. He introduced that the African continent is rich in hydropower resources, but it is plagued by the disorder of the power system and the lack of systematic planning. Power outages have become the normal state of industrial parks and residents' lives. Therefore, this situation has undoubtedly become one of the focuses of China's aid projects to Africa.
Director Xu of the Power Supply Service Department of the Vocational and Technical College of Electric Power also showed us the education status of Changsha Electric Power Vocational School with his enthusiasm and professionalism. It also puts forward four cooperation directions for the whole African power vocational education: first, China graduates help Africa and spread knowledge and enthusiasm on the African continent; Second, African students come to China for training and research, so that their dreams can take root here; Third, African electric power employees come to China for internship training, making learning a bridge across mountains and seas; Fourth, distance teaching, so that the seeds of education thrive in the soil of the Internet.
Finally, Zhang Longling, vice president of Changsha Electric Power Vocational and Technical College, concluded that the development of electric power vocational technology has always been the key to promoting social progress. Dean Zhang has a profound understanding of this, and he highly agrees with China-Africa technical cooperation in the field of electric power. His words are full of confidence and expectation for the future of Africa. He stressed that by opening up channels, not only can the power infrastructure of African countries be developed, but also the cooperative relationship between China and Africa can be deepened and common prosperity can be achieved.
Xing Fei's visit to Changsha Vocational College of Electric Power is not only a simple visit and exchange, but also a deep blend of vocational education cooperation between China and Africa. Here, we see the power of education, the value of cooperation, and the profound and long-lasting friendship between China and Africa. May this cooperation, like numerous dots, light up each other's sky and open a new chapter in China-Africa power cooperation.
